Process:

• Send me an email and tell me what kind of commission you are requesting. Tell me what colors you want and other preferences you have for your commission. Take a look at the list of things you should mention next to each commission type above.

• This is sent to me to review, and after reviewing I will send you an email if I am accepting your commission.

• I will reply with a quote and ask any questions if needed to get more information for your commission.

• Once you have confirmed the price quote and answered any questions, I will send you a payment invoice via email and request payment via PayPal or Venmo (whichever you prefer).

• Once I receive payment I will start sculpting!

• I may send photos of colors, glitter, items, or anything else for approval or to have you choose between options.

• I will send an email with photos of the sculpture before I bake it. At this point you can let me know if you would like changes.

• Once the commission is approved I will bake it.

• I will send photos of the finished piece once baked, and ask for a mailing address via email.

• After I receive your mailing address, I will mail the sculpture to you as soon as possible.

On Your End:

• Please give me as much information as possible for you commission! You can send me your character reference sheets, links, photos, written descriptions, etc. (Don't send me photos of someone else's art though)

• You are welcome to post photos of your commission, as long as you credit me with my Instagram handle (@fireandonyx.art) and/or a link to my website.

• If your piece is a gift for someone and you do not want me to post it before you give it to them (or if you don't want me to post it at all), you need to let me know! If you are fine with me posting it after you have given the commission to the recipient, please let me know when it is ok for me to post it.

• DO NOT remove any watermarks/logos on your artwork.

• DO NOT try to claim my art as your own.

 

On My End:

• I don’t use other people’s art as references because I feel like that would be copying another artist’s work or ideas. If you send photos of another artist’s art, I won’t use it, and may turn down your commission.​ You can send your own art as reference though.

• I don’t do commissions of licensed characters.

• I am fine with doing commissions with blood and/or gore, though may turn down commissions if I am uncomfortable with your request. If you aren't sure about this, feel free to ask.

• Please note that I will most likely post a photo of the finished product on my Instagram, @fireandonyx.art, as well as possibly on my art website and/or portfolio website and/or use the commission in my portfolio. If you do not want me to post your commission, please let me know.

• I am allowed to decline any commission without explanation.

 

Wait Time:

• Commissions can take a while to complete, especially if my schedule is full, so make sure to give plenty of time if you want the commission done by a certain date.

• Please allow 2-3 months for me to complete your commission. I try my best to get it done as soon as possible, and usually it will not take more than a month, but sometimes I get busy and have multiple projects to work on.

• I do not to accept "rush orders".

 

​Pricing/Payment:

• I will only start a commission if at least half of the commission is paid. I will ask for full payment to be made before I start the commission, but if this does not work for you, I can accept half payment before starting and the other half after the commission is completed.

• I accept payment via PayPal or Venmo. I let you choose between those two.

• Prices may change within a month or two. If you order a commission and I change the price guide, I will not increase the price that we agreed on if you have already paid it fully or partially.
